Why is the price of drinking water rising?
The increase in rates is necessary to maintain the quality of drinking water. Every year the costs of drinking water rise, partly due to the general price increase (inflation). But also due to, for example, higher costs for raw materials, materials and energy. Waternet is obliged to offer drinking water on a cost-effective basis. This means that they are not allowed to make a profit or a loss. Due to rising costs, they have to increase the price for drinking water.
